Today, we’ve got some exciting news for our CoinShot card users! 💚
We’ve added TAB functionality to the Coinshot transportation card.
With this feature, you don’t need to visit a convenience store to top up your transit card! Now you can top up your transit card and check your balance anytime, anywhere using our new contactless service.

What you need: 👆 Your finger / 📱 CoinShot app / 💳 CoinShot card
How to Recharge
1️⃣ Open the CoinShot app and go to [Menu] – [Card] – [Transportation Card].
2️⃣ Hold your CoinShot card against the back of your phone.
Tip: Placing the card at the top back of your phone usually works best for detection!
(Once the card is recognized, you’ll be moved to the next screen automatically.)
3️⃣ Press the [Recharge Transportation Card] button below the balance display.
4️⃣ Enter the amount you’d like to recharge and tap [Recharge].
Did you know you can recharge from as little as 1,000 KRW?
Try it out anytime, super convenient! 🪄
5️⃣ Review the recharge amount and proceed with payment.
Payments can be made using the wallet you’ve pre-loaded in the app!
If your wallet balance is insufficient, make sure to top it up before proceeding.
6️⃣ All done! Your transportation card is now recharged!
(For reference, it took me about 1 minute to complete the recharge 👍)

How to check your transit card balance
Now, let’s check how to view your balance and transaction history!
For checking your balance, follow steps 1️⃣ and 2️⃣ as explained above.
In step 3️⃣, you’ll be able to see your transportation card balance.
To view transaction history, just tap the [View Transaction History] button below.
4️⃣ You’ll be able to review both recharge and payment amounts from your card.
And that’s it!
Today, we’ve learned how to recharge your transportation card using the app.
You can still recharge at convenience stores or subway station machines with cash if that’s easier for you.
